Share Easily Share Wirelessly

With personal music sharing and iMixes, iTunes lets you spread the joy. Play music from any Mac or PC in your house, or play it wirelessly on your home entertainment System. Or share your tastes with an iMix published to the iTunes Music Store.

Stream Your Music Throughout the House

Now hear this. AirPort Express with AirTunes, Apple's wireless networking technology, streams your iTunes music collection anywhere in the house. Play your music on a pair of powered speakers in the den or kitchen or even on that high-tech, six-speaker entertainment center in the living room.
Eminently portable, AirPort Express fits in the palm of your hand and weighs less than seven ounces. So you can carry it wherever you'd like, plug it into a handy outlet and connect it to the speakers you'd like to use. On your Mac or PC, iTunes automatically senses remote speakers and includes them in a pop-up list, letting you choose where to play your music. It's that simple.

Share Your Music with Others

Just by clicking the "Share my music" checkbox in the Sharing panel of the iTunes Preferences dialog, you can let anyone in the house listen to your music on another Mac or PC. As if by magic, the music just shows up in their copy of iTunes. You can even play the songs you've downloaded and purchased from the iTunes Music Store. iTunes lets you authorize up to five computers to play purchased music. As long as your computer is on and you have iTunes active, friends and family on other computers in your household can find and play your music by looking under Shared Music in the iTunes source listing. In fact, sharing music works equally well - and just as simply - on wired and wireless networks.

Make Your Mix

Now you can tell your friends in an instant, and share your good taste with the rest of the world, too, with an iMix published on the iTunes Music Store. When you get a mix just right, an arrow on the playlist takes you to the publishing area within iTunes. It's just another click to let your circle know about your iMix. Use the "Tell a Friend" button to announce your new playlist. iTunes displays top-rated iMixes right on the album pages, so if you're really good, you'll see your mix right next to your favorite artist. And so will millions of other iTunes users, who can easily browse your other iMixes.
